Job Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the entire production process. This role requires a strong understanding of textile manufacturing, with specific expertise in knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and embroidery. The ideal candidate will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while leading and motivating a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to meet demand targets for fabrics and ready-made curtains.
- Oversee all stages of the textile manufacturing process, including knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and embroidery.
- Monitor production output, analyze performance data (KPIs), and identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, equipment, and human resources.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control standards throughout the production cycle to ensure products meet high-quality benchmarks and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address any defects or inefficiencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards within the production environment.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise, motivate, and manage production staff, providing clear objectives, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Address work-related problems and recommend solutions to increase productivity.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials (e.g., 100% polyester yarn, dyes, finishing chemicals).
- Manage production budgets, control costs, and identify measures to minimize waste.
- Oversee the routine maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment.
Innovation & Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and methodologies in textile manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Preferable Diploma in Textile Technology, Production Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management Professional - PMP) are a strong advantage.
Experience:
- Proven experience (preferably 3+ years) in a Production Manager or senior supervisory role within the textile manufacturing industry, particularly in home textiles or curtain production.
- Demonstrable familiarity with and hands-on experience in various textile production processes, including: knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and embroidery.
- Experience managing large production volumes and diverse product lines (e.g., fabric by the meter, ready-made curtains).
- Familiarity with textile machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of textile raw materials, fabric properties (e.g., 100% polyester), and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in using production management software and ERP systems.
- Understanding of safety protocols and compliance in a manufacturing setting.
