About the position
FMCG concern is seeking a production manager to Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the production facility, inclusive of formulating and implementing policies, managing daily operations, and managing full utilisation of plant equipment, raw materials and people meeting customer specifications
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning for the factory
- Ensure the daily Production Plan is timeously and efficiently Implemented
- Maintain and Optimise production performance and production processes
- Develop and Maintain and Control Production and Quality Procedures and Practices
- Manage and control CIP and cleaning procedures and practices in the factory
- Support to the engineering department to ensure sufficient maintenance. and engineering services and contribute to engineering and equipment or infrastructural improvements
- Cost Control
- Ensure a Safe and Healthy Working Environment
- Maintain an environment of continuous improvement and effective teamwork.
- Manage Human resources in the factory
- Perform Administration
- Risk Management
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Production or Operations Management or Mechanical Engineering or Chemical EngineeringManagement Diploma
- Project Management Certificate or Training
- Full competence within this role would typically be developed over a period of 6 - 7 years (3 – 5 yrs within management)
- FMCG experience
- Knowledge of Product and Process, Process Engineering/Mechanical, Plant capacity and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Budget Management, Personnel and human resources practices, Production and processing, World Class Manufacturing practices and models, Basic accounting, Mathematics, Administration Management, Audit Compliance, FSSC 22000, OSH Act, GMP, BCEA, LRA
