About the position
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager / Millwright to join their dynamic operations team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience in production supervision or management
- Solid understanding of industrial machinery and maintenance systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production operations and ensure smooth workflow across the plant
- Perform and supervise maintenance, repairs and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently to minimise downtime
- Lead and support production and maintenance teams to achieve output targets
- Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and production-related breakdowns
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors when required
