About the position
Looking for a Production Coordinator to join a well-established clothing manufacturer. This role suits an organised individual who can manage production flow from order intake to final output within a busy garment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft operation breakdowns for garments, including materials, components, and all production steps from cutting to packaging.
- Manage the order funnel and allocate orders to appropriate production lines based on capacity and urgency.
- Monitor factory load to ensure efficient resource utilisation and realistic production timelines.
- Liaise with merchandising, design, procurement, and other internal stakeholders to confirm order specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate production schedules, tracking sheets, and progress reports.
- Ensure timely requisition and availability of fabric, trims, and all required materials.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure alignment on technical specs and quality requirements.
- Assist in pre-production and production planning meetings, including capacity planning and quality coordination.
- Maintain documentation for each production batch, including material usage, lead times, and outputs.
- Identify and escalate production issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement and assist with resolving workflow bottlenecks.

Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience in garment manufacturing, ideally within protective or technical clothing.
- Solid understanding of garment production processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and QC.
- Strong production-planning skills and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with production-planning systems beneficial.
- Strong administrative capability, including maintaining logs, drafting breakdowns, and compiling reports.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
Remuneration
R9 500 - R15 000 CTC
