Production Controller at IA Heating Systems (Pty) Ltd

About the position

This position assumes overall responsibility for planning, sourcing required production materials, scheduling, and controlling the flow of production jobs. The main responsibilities include:

• Functioning as the primary liaison between Production and Sales regarding scheduling and lead times.
• Loading of new production orders in the ERP system.
• Coordination with engineering to obtain the required production documents (job cards, drawings, BOMs).
• Ensuring materials availability by reserving stock and ordering materials for production requirements.
• Developing and maintaining the production schedule to meet delivery commitments and optimize workflow.
• Issuing of job cards to the production floor.
• Monitoring production flow, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively expediting critical orders.
• Closing of completed production jobs in the ERP system.
• Analysing material usage variances to identify opportunities for improved accuracy or efficiency.
