Product Owner

About the position

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy: Define and evolve a customer-centric product vision aligned with business goals and market trends.


• Market Insight: Analyze industry trends, user feedback, and competitors to inform the product roadmap.


• Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide teams across engineering, design, and marketing to deliver on the product vision.


• Agile Execution: Manage and prioritize the backlog, ensuring efficient, value-driven delivery in an Agile setup.


• Stakeholder Engagement: Align internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and feedback loops.


• Customer Advocacy: Champion initiatives that enhance user experience and solve real customer problems.


• Innovation Culture: Promote experimentation, creativity, and calculated risk-taking.


• Data-Driven Decisions: Define KPIs and iterate strategies based on performance metrics and analytics.

 



Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years as a Product Owner or similar, delivering innovative products.


• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative.


• Creative thinker with a drive to differentiate and improve.


• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).


• Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management.


• Deep customer empathy and user-focused mindset.


• Technically literate; able to work effectively with development teams.


• Strong analytical skills and data-informed decision-making.


• Proven leadership and collaboration in fast-paced settings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Background in startups or high-growth environments is highly desirable.


• A Product Owner certification (or certifications) is highly desirable, preferably from organizations such as [URL Removed]


• MBA or similar advanced business qualification is a plus.


• Experience with UX/UI design principles and methodologies. Experience using Figma to build wireframes would be a plus.


• Expert use of Jira and Confluence is a must.


• In depth understanding of the software development life cycle, particularly where continuous integration and delivery is practised.


• The ability to understand and interpret things which can be highly technical i.e. able to understand system architectures at a high level, and how they hang together.
