About the position
My client based in Cape Town (North) is currently looking for a Product Operations Lead to join them on a permanent basis (4 day in office)
We are seeking a Product Operations Lead to drive operational excellence across our product portfolio. This pivotal role ensures smooth execution, customer-facing stability, and alignment with business goals, while leading a team of Business Analysts and operations professionals.
?? What You'll Do
- Shape Vision & Outcomes
- Align product goals with business objectives and performance metrics
- Communicate product vision clearly across teams and stakeholders
- Ensure customer-facing components deliver agreed business outcomes
- Safeguard Stability
- Identify and escalate risks early to prevent disruption
- Maintain SLA adherence and implement corrective actions when needed
- Propose mitigations to ensure operational stability
- Lead BA & Ops Teams
- Mentor and guide Business Analysts and operations staff
- Drive high-quality requirements and effective cross-functional handoffs
- Triage and resolve operational escalations impacting customers
- Analyze recurring issues and implement preventative solutions
- Engage Stakeholders
- Collaborate across business, IT, and product teams
- Build trust and facilitate decision-making
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide concise updates on SLA performance and operational risks
?? What We're Looking For
Competencies:
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Attention to detail and conflict resolution ability
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- Expertise in product lifecycle management and customer-facing operations
- Analytical mindset with facilitation skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 plus relevant IT or Business Administration degree/diploma
- Certified Product Owner (CPO) highly beneficial
- Minimum 5 years in product operations, delivery, or product ownership
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred
