About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic EdTech company is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and execution of product strategy, including financial modeling, product bundling, and key feature development, while reporting directly to the Content Development Manager. The role is responsible for shaping the product vision, strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and go-to-market plans for a portfolio of strategically aligned digital products. Success in this position requires strong business acumen, a passion for innovation, data literacy, continuous discovery and research, as well as exceptional people skills and a solid understanding of budgets and planning.

DUTIES:

Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and communicate product vision and strategy aligned with company business goals and customer needs
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management with high business impact
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps based on business vision and strategy
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to differentiate product offerings
  • Define business problems, customer experience vision, and product strategy
  • Identify, develop, and take ownership of new product opportunities with a strong focus on customer needs and ROI.

Product Management

  • Create detailed product requirement documents with non-functional specifications
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog using data-driven decision making
  • Manage feature prioritisation and trade-offs to ensure optimal tech development
  • Identify process gaps and pain points to drive continuous improvement
  • Create innovative solutions for both short-term and long-term challenges
  • Coordinate tech development across teams

Financial & Commercial

  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to evaluate product opportunities
  • Develop pricing strategies and product bundling options
  • Manage budgets related to content and tech development
  • Create and execute commercial plans including pricing, monetization, and packaging structures
  • Assess financial viability of products and features

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Present regular reports and analytics to Senior Management and Exco
  • Partner with various stakeholders, internal & external teams to identify and influence new value adds, features and tech development.
  • Implement cross-functional collaboration with development, marketing, sales, and customer support teams
  • Work effectively with stakeholders across tech development, content, operations, legal, finance, sales, and marketing
  • Build strong relationships with end-users and customers to gather ongoing product feedback, drive adoption, and ensure continuous product improvement
  • Foster decision-making across teams

Go-to-Market & Launch

  • Oversee product launch strategies and go-to-market execution
  • Partner with marketing teams for campaign development
  • Collaborate with sales teams for training and enablement
  • Ensure customer support readiness for product launches

REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Strong experience in financial modeling and business case development
  • Proven track record in building and launching digital products and services
  • Experience in product strategy and end-to-end delivery management
  • Demonstrated success in managing revenue-generating products and platforms
  • Strong data literacy and research capabilities
  • Experience in commercial planning and product monetization
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver on timelines and goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in education/publishing/tech/digital commercialisation of products.
  • Operational experience, particularly in scaling products and services
  • Knowledge of base programming languages
  • Bachelor's Degree / MBA or advanced degree in related field
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools
