About the position
A fast-growing HealthTech company is hiring a Product Innovation Specialist to drive continuous improvement across a complex product ecosystem (claims processing, member & benefit validation, electronic remittances, and deep third-party integrations).
It’s a hybrid role based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, balancing hands-on collaboration with space for deep-focus problem solving.
Duties / Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing products, integrations, and internal workflows to spot optimisation and automation opportunities
- Use advanced SQL to extract insights (claims patterns, integration performance, product logic validation)
- Identify and implement AI/automation use cases to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Gather and synthesise feedback from internal teams and external clients; translate pain points into solutions
- Influence the product roadmap with new features, process improvements, and platform enhancements
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Support to define and land solutions in the dev lifecycle
Requirements
- 5+ years advanced SQL (complex queries, analysis, optimisation)
- Hybrid Cloud experience (Azure or GCP) and SaaS + on-prem integration understanding
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML implementation, prompt engineering, and LLM integrations
- Bonus: healthcare / medical aid domain experience (claims, integrations, etc.)
- Strong ability to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s in CS / IT / Data Science (or equivalent high-level industry experience)

Package
The proposed salary for the role is R25k - R28k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
