Product Champion

About the position

Exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate. This role is effectively a hybrid of Product Manager, Category Manager, and Technical Specialist in the electrical and cabling sector.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure growth of profits and market shares through performance growth
• Manage and grow relationship and performance of selected Key Accounts
• Monitor tenders, quotes, pricing and sales orders
• Provide internal support for the region
• Ensure full awareness of stock integrity of the branch
• Accountable for supply chain process from customer engagement to delivery and after sales service
• Asset management and ensuring follow ups are done on queries and outstanding accounts
• Improve Customer services and attending to customer queries
• Assist with identifying Customer needs
• Ensure all Operational reports are analysed and corrective action is taken.
• Ensure reconciliation of financial reports and identified variances are resolved
• Ensure that all relevant employees within the region are trained and up skilled
• Assist with Implementing incentive drives, planned trade activities and events

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management
• 3-5 years' experience in product support
• 5 years' experience in managing product life cycle
• Experience with market analysis
• Experience in the Cable, Electrical and Wholesale industry
• Understanding of technical and electrical products
• Strategic planning and organisation skills
