About the position
Join a high-end interior design and turnkey project management business delivering luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects across South Africa and internationally.
Based in Pretoria East, you will take ownership of supplier relationships, source distinctive local and international products, and help shape a world-class product offering across multiple luxury projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Source furniture, lighting, finishes, sanitaryware, décor and bespoke products
- Identify and develop local and international suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms and commercial agreements
- Obtain quotations and compare supplier options
- Research new products, materials and industry trends
- Support designers with product and finish selections
- Coordinate supplier presentations and product launches
- Maintain supplier databases, specifications and procurement information
- Manage and grow the sample library
- Monitor supplier quality and performance
- Identify cost savings without compromising design or quality
- Support procurement planning across multiple projects
Requirements
- 3–7 years’ sourcing, procurement or purchasing experience
- Experience in interior design, architecture, construction, furniture, hospitality or luxury residential projects
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Education
A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, interior design, business or a related field is advantageous.
Soft Skills
Professional, proactive and commercially minded, with strong communication skills, integrity and a genuine passion for design. Curiosity, initiative and confident problem-solving are essential.
Salary
The proposed salary for the role is R20k - R30k per month - the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
