You're a confident, detail-oriented procurement professional with strong industry knowledge and a knack for building supplier relationships. You understand the technical aspects of steel and mechanical component procurement and enjoy collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure materials are sourced accurately, efficiently, and on time. You're assertive, solutions-driven, and thrive in a hands-on, manufacturing-focused environment.
In this newly created role, you'll take charge of procuring steel, mechanical components, and technical materials that support engineering and fabrication operations. You'll source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and lead times, and maintain key supply relationships across the mining and industrial sectors. Working closely with internal teams, you'll help streamline procurement processes, support production planning, and keep cost control front of mind.

You'll bring proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist, ideally within mining, fabrication, or a related heavy industrial setting. You should have a strong technical procurement background and be comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Solid negotiation skills and supplier management experience are essential.
A competitive package between R500K-R600K per annum, with flexibility for the right candidate. You'll be stepping into a pivotal new role with room to grow, surrounded by a skilled, committed team in a company that values initiative and precision.
