Procurement Specialist

About the position

Exciting opportunity to join our Client in the eCommerce health industry for a Procurement Specialist in a remote role.

This role is critical to ensure procurement activities support operational excellence, cost efficiency, and strategic sourcing objectives.

Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

• Source suppliers that meet project requirements, ensuring optimal value in terms of price, quality, and lead time
• Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
• Preparing quote summary report
• Sending of timely Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Orders (RFO) of new and variations of products
• Timely response to emails related to procurement queries
• Correct communication of request, queries, updates, meeting deadlines and following SOPs Liaise with suppliers and managers regarding updates and details of goods
• Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements
• Own and execute strategic sourcing and vendor selection
• Implement RFQ process. Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers

Data and Process Management

• Maintain and continuously update sourcing data from various platforms to support procurement decision-making
• Perform regular housekeeping and updates for RFO Tracker and Quote Tracker tools
• Prepare accurate quote summary reports for internal use
• Ensure procurement documentation and communications follow established SOPs and deadlines

Requirements:

• Proficient in G suite
• Supply Chain qualification advantageous (Diploma/Certificate)
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English with excellent writing, communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams
• Proactive and initiative-taking approach, with the ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and act independently to drive results
