PROCUREMENT PRICING ANALYST (EE/AA)

Area: Boksburg, Gauteng
Salary: R15,000.00 plus medical aid and provident fund (this is slightly negotiable, depending on relevant experience & qualifications
ROLE OVERVIEW
A Procurement Pricing Analyst is required to analyse and optimise pricing structures to support cost control, profitability, and strategic sourcing decisions. The role works closely with Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure accurate, data-driven pricing.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:

• Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Statistics or Data Analytics

Experience:

• 2-5 years' experience in procurement pricing / price analytics
• Manufacturing or engineering exposure advantageous
• Strong ERP system knowledge
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills

• Strong analytical and numerical ability
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Understanding of procurement policies and controls
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse supplier pricing, cost drivers, and price movements
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget / historical trends)
• Develop should-cost models and pricing benchmarks
• Support supplier negotiations with pricing insights
• Validate supplier price increases, quotes, and tenders
• Maintain pricing dashboards, reports, and ERP data integrity
• Conduct TCO and cost-saving analysis
• Monitor contracts, escalations, and index-linked increases
• Support audits, compliance, and procurement governance
• Assist procurement team with ad hoc analysis and reporting
