Procurement Officer at NRF National Research Foundation

About the position

Postion Summary:
The NRF-SAEON seeks to appoint 3 PROCUREMENT OFFICERS to provide inputs in the process of contracting service providers/suppliers, advise on payments of contractors, as well as the opening of SAEON accounts with suppliers after carrying out the necessary backgrounds checks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination of procurement and supply chain processes
• Tender/ Bid administration
• Facilitation of internal and external audit processes
• Keep abreast with SAEON SCM ERP integration

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree / Advanced Diploma / NQF 7

Minimum Experience:

• 3-4 years

• Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management or Procurement
• Minimum of 3 years in a procurement environment fulfilling procurement roles including SCM compliance, procurement and supplier accreditation

Experience:

• Experience in advising and assisting requesting areas in purchasing procedures
• Experience in Computer system (MS Office) and / or skills in RFP system
• 3 years’ experience in the public sector procurement

Knowledge:

• Sound knowledge of National Treasury Regulations, PPPFA regulations and the PFMA
