Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Gauteng
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories.
- Lead tender processes (RFQs, RFPs, auctions) and negotiate contracts.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk assessments.
- Cost Savings & Budget Control
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Monitor market trends and conduct spend analysis.
- Ensure procurement aligns with company budgets and financial goals.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to B-BBEE, PFMA (public sector), and company policies.
- Mitigate risks in procurement (fraud, supply chain disruptions).
- Maintain proper documentation for audits (SAP/ERP records).
- Stakeholder & Team Management
- Work with finance, legal, and operations teams on procurement needs.
- Mentor junior buyers and procurement officers.
- Report to the Head of Procurement/CFO on KPIs and savings.
- Digital & Process Improvement
- Use SAP MM, Oracle, or Coupa for procurement processes.
- Drive digital transformation (e-procurement, automation).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or Law (LLB advantageous).
- Postgraduate diploma/MBA (advantageous)
- CIPS Level 5/6 (Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Procurement).
- SAPICS CSCP/CPIM
- 5+ years in procurement, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in tender management, contract negotiation, and supplier development.
- Exposure to B-BBEE procurement codes and local content requirements.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership ability to manage a small procurement team.
- Excellent communication for internal & external stakeholder management.
