About the position
We are currently seeking a Procurement Administrator for a 1-month contract with the possibility of renewal, to support our procurement and stock management processes.
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Fixed-term (1 Month)
- Location: Germiston, Johannesburg
- Salary: R104 per hour
- Start Date: immdiate
- Possibility of Renewal: Yes, based on performance and business needs
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Purchase monthly raw materials (chemicals) locally and internationally.
- Maintain and grow supplier relationships; source alternative suppliers when required.
- Liaise with the Factory Manager to confirm purchase requirements.
- Manage COD (Cash on Delivery) supplier payments and procurement documentation.
- Track international shipments and maintain up-to-date shipping records.
- Process supplier orders from approved quotes.
- Handle drum returns in Pastel and process supplier credits or returns.
- Maintain ISO-compliant preferred supplier lists.
Inventory & System Management
- Submit weekly stock and sales reports to relevant team members.
- Record production data into Pastel.
- Perform stock adjustments and transfers between store locations.
- Receive stock into stores via Pastel and ensure all entries are accurate.
- Maintain the Product Master and Cost Price Master databases.
- Add new products to the system as needed.
Administrative Accuracy
- Work with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Submit and track COD payments for processing.
- Ensure all admin processes align with company values and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of recent, relevant experience in procurement or stock administration.
- Pastel Partner or Sage 50 experience is essential.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ISO standards related to suppliers is beneficial.
- Able to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines.
