About the position

DUR002054 PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS OFFICER - BALLITO

Purpose of the Job:
To work with the team on creating delivery schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and goods as required by the project activities, maintenance of contracts and capital equipment registers, and stock control records.
 
Required Qualifications

  • Logistics or Procurement qualification
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Must have the ability to travel, Valid Driver’s License and Valid Passport

Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • Procurement of stock for various projects, tasks and jobs
  • Management of the 3 warehouse stock control process
  • Logistically get the stock from the various warehouses to the sites for projects
  • Management of international procurement
  • Stock forecasting
  • Price list management and shopping around for the best prices linked to reliable suppliers
  • Implementation and management of the Procurement processes within the group
  • Working with Finance and our operational team to understand and deliver projects across South Africa and Swaziland

 
Behavioural Competencies:

  • Strong logistical planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge on excel and the ability to work well on a PC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
