About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Process Engineer with 2 to 4 years' experience in water treatment, either in operations or design. The role focuses on supporting the development, optimisation, and maintenance of water treatment processes for industrial and mine water recovery applications. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic engineering team and contribute to projects that enhance water recovery and treatment efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, optimisation, and operation of water treatment processes, including mine water and industrial water recovery systems.
• Prepare process flow diagrams, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct process analysis, sampling, and testing to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
• Support project delivery, ensuring designs meet technical requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
• Monitor and report on process efficiency, energy usage, and chemical consumption.
• Participate in troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to technical documentation, progress reports, and client presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years' experience in water treatment, mine water, or industrial water recovery processes.
• Exposure to process design, process optimisation, or operational management of water treatment systems.
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles, water chemistry, and treatment technologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and Microsoft Office.
