Private Equity & Venture Capital Associate

About the position

A leading South African asset manager is seeking a Private Equity & Venture Capital Associate to join its investment team. The successful candidate will support investments across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Infrastructure, Private Real Estate, and Agriculture by conducting financial modelling, investment analysis, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring. The role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle while working closely with senior investment professionals on commercially attractive investments with developmental impact.

Experience Requirements:

• Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Science, or a related field (CFA or CA(SA) advantageous)
• 2-5 years' experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
• Proven experience in financial modelling, company valuations, and investment analysis
• Experience conducting financial and commercial due diligence and supporting transaction execution
• Strong understanding of private equity investments, deal structuring, and portfolio management
