About the position
Our client is looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer to develop and implement privacy-enhancing technologies that protect sensitive information while enabling enterprise data products and advanced analytics. This role offers the opportunity to shape privacy-by-design practices across modern cloud and data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement privacy-enhancing technologies across enterprise data platforms.
- Apply techniques such as k-anonymity, l-diversity, t-closeness, and differential privacy.
- Support privacy-by-design initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop data protection controls for sensitive information.
- Work closely with engineering, governance, and compliance teams.
- Ensure solutions align with applicable privacy regulations and organisational policies.
- Contribute to data lineage, access control, and audit readiness.
- Produce technical documentation and privacy implementation guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in data privacy, security, or information governance.
- Strong understanding of privacy engineering principles.
- Experience implementing privacy controls in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, data architecture, and secure software development.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Advantageous
- Experience with PETs in large-scale data environments.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar.
- Experience supporting regulated industries.
- Knowledge of enterprise governance frameworks.
