What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Post Graduate degree is highly desirable).
- Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in engineering roles, with a strong track record of leadership.
- Recognized deep expertise within a specific engineering discipline, supported by published work or significant industry contributions.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing strategies that directly support organizational objectives. You'll be at the forefront of identifying and integrating cutting-edge technologies to fuel innovation.
- Technical Mastery: Serve as the ultimate authority on all technical matters, providing final sign-off on designs and methodologies. Your expertise will make you the allocated advisor for internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- High-Impact Project Oversight: Take ownership of the planning, design, and execution of our most significant and complex projects. You'll oversee project portfolios, ensuring they remain on track and deliver exceptional results. Your problem-solving skills will be crucial in resolving escalated technical challenges.
- Organizational Growth: Invest in the development of engineering talent through mentorship and leadership training initiatives and represent the organization's technical leadership at key industry events.
