About the position
An established premium lifestyle and interiors business is seeking an experienced Premium Showroom Manager to lead a high-end Sandton showroom. The role combines sales leadership, people management, customer experience, showroom operations and visual standards within a sophisticated retail environment.
We are looking for an accomplished retail leader with experience managing a premium or luxury customer-facing environment. Candidates may come from high-end furniture, interiors, décor, homeware, luxury retail, art, jewellery, fashion or another service-led premium environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of showroom performance, ensuring sales targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional customer service, visual presentation and operational standards. They will lead and develop the showroom team, manage key customer relationships and ensure the environment consistently reflects the standards expected of a premium brand.
The underlying position requires at least five years' retail/wholesale sales experience and two years' people management experience, with responsibility for showroom consultants and other showroom personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the showroom team to achieve weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Drive individual and team sales performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
- Develop and implement action plans where performance is below target.
- Coach, motivate and develop sales consultants.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards across the showroom.
- Build and maintain relationships with key and repeat customers.
- Resolve escalated customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure showroom presentation, merchandising, displays and visual standards are consistently maintained.
- Oversee stock levels, product allocation, pricing, replenishment and stock control.
- Maintain high standards across day-to-day showroom operations.
- Monitor product performance and identify slow-moving ranges and sales opportunities.
- Ensure accurate sales administration, payments and financial procedures.
- Coordinate showroom events, launches and promotional activity where required.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, performance and operational coverage.
- Provide regular sales, operational and customer feedback to senior management.
Requirements:
- Matric / National Senior Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience within a retail or wholesale environment.
- Minimum 2 years' people management experience.
- Experience within premium/luxury retail, furniture, interiors, décor, homeware, art, jewellery or another high-end customer environment would be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to drive sales targets through a team.
- Strong customer relationship and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing store/showroom operations.
- Strong visual and presentation standards.
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets and sales performance.
- Professional communication and leadership style.
- Willingness to work every second Saturday.
Basic salary plus:
