About the position

Hire Resolve's client, a leading multi-disciplinary engineering design and project management firm specializing in innovative and sustainable solutions for mining projects, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg North. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of mining and infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
  
  
• Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and review mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  
  
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycles.
  
  
• Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation for internal and client review.
  
  
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to maintain strong professional relationships and ensure project alignment.
  
  
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering best practices within the organization.
  
  

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
  
  
• Professional Registration: Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
  
  
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in mechanical engineering within the mining sector, with a focus on EPC/EPCM projects.
  
  
• Technical Proficiency:
  
  
  • Strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure systems relevant to mining.
    
    
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    
    
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
    
    
• Skills:
  
  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    
    
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    
    
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    
    
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
