About the position
Our client is seeking a Power Platform Developer to design, develop and maintain business-critical applications and automated workflows. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer with proven production experience across Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, who can work confidently with non-technical stakeholders and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps for business users.
- Build and maintain Power Automate cloud flows for approvals, notifications and business process automation.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure services and third-party systems.
- Work extensively with SharePoint Online as a data source for existing business applications.
- Gather requirements from Operations, Finance, HR, store managers and other non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate operational requirements into practical, user-friendly technical solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting applications and automation workflows.
- Implement API integrations, including REST APIs, JSON and custom connectors.
- Apply Power Platform governance practices, including naming conventions, environments, permissions and DLP policies.
- Support Application Lifecycle Management across Power Platform environments.
- Maintain technical documentation for solutions, integrations and customisations.
- Provide end-user support and training.
- Assist with licensing, access provisioning and application entitlements.
- Contribute to Power BI and modern data solutions where required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
- Proven production experience developing Canvas Power Apps and Power Automate flows.
- Demonstrable portfolio of live business applications and workflows.
- Strong SharePoint Online experience, particularly as a Power Apps data source.
- Experience with Power BI and modern data concepts including databases, SQL and data lakes.
- Proficiency in Power Fx, JavaScript and SQL within the Power Platform environment.
- Experience with API integrations and automation solutions.
- Knowledge of Power Platform governance and ALM.
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- PL-400 certification or equivalent is advantageous.
- Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Retail, QSR or multi-site operations experience is advantageous.
Technical Environment
- Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio and Dataverse.
- SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook and Excel.
- REST APIs, JSON, custom connectors and Dataverse relationships.
- Azure Logic Apps/Functions and GitHub/Azure DevOps exposure would be advantageous.
