Company and Job Description
An established technology consulting organisation is looking for an experienced Microsoft Power BI Developer to join its Business Process Management team.
This role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise clients, designing and developing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You will engage directly with stakeholders, gather business requirements, build robust data models, develop interactive dashboards, and optimise reporting solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Design and develop Microsoft SQL data models, ETL processes and Power BI solutions.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards and visual analytics.
• Create and maintain Paginated Reports and utilise Power BI Premium capabilities.
• Develop and maintain Dataflows to support data preparation and transformation.
• Optimise SQL queries, views and reporting performance.
• Administer and optimise Power BI environments, including Gateway management and scheduled refreshes.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, cleansing and transformation.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with clients to deliver effective BI solutions.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile
Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certifications (advantageous).

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience developing and deploying Microsoft Power BI solutions.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and data modelling.
• Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports and KPI scorecards.
• Experience with Power BI Premium features.
• Experience creating Paginated Reports.
• Experience with Dataflows.
• Experience administering Power BI Gateways.
• Exposure to financial services or banking environments would be advantageous.
• Ability to engage directly with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
