Location: New Germany, KZN
Job Description:
The incumbent is responsible for the performance and supervision of the powder coating department by planning, organising, controlling, leading and co-ordinating the Powder Coating activities of the organisation. Must ensure that production quotas are met on schedule.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Engineering studies/relevant supervisory qualification
- 3-5 years of experience in the steel fabrication/metal production industry
- Must have powder coating experience
- Technically able to conduct investigations
- Able to service & maintain equipment
- Must have the ability to learn and perform functions on Fabritrak
- Must have a valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision for production in the powder coating department
- Planning & scheduling work
- Ensure efficient use of powder
- Ensure efficient use of the Ovens
- Provide production quantity and quality control in the powder coating section
- Monitor the financial performances of the production department to ensure company goals are met
- Maintain and control the use of machinery in the powder coating section
- Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required
- Ensure implementation and evolution of company policies and procedures
- Comply with all regulatory safety policies and standards as well as ensure that PPE is worn at all times
- Adhere to late coming and Absenteeism policies
- Good housekeeping 5s
