What you will be doing:
- Agree, prioritise, and manage work deliverables and plans.
- Handle substantial portfolio and market data daily.
- Retrieve, validate, reconcile, and analyse data for regular and periodic reports.
- Interrogate, interpret, and analyse data to produce client reports and advisory insights.
- Safeguard the integrity of sensitive client data and manually verify statistics.
- Review reports from fellow analysts and address report queries when needed.
- Provide ad hoc analyses, suggestions, and support.
- Contribute ideas for technical solutions and process improvements.
- Participate in quality management processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Set and pursue career objectives, annual goals, and engage in knowledge sharing.
- Actively participate in organisational discussions, events, and innovation.
- Perform ad hoc analyses as required.
What our client is looking for:
- Holds an undergraduate degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or finance.
- An Honours degree is preferable.
- Shows interest in pursuing CFA, FRM, or CAIA charter.
- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and sensitive client data integrity.
- Manages large volumes of portfolio and market data.
- Understands portfolio and instrument-level information.
- Quick learner with interest in financial services and industry trends.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and good time management.
- Exposure to or experience with Excel, SQL and Power BI would be beneficial.
- Able to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Communicates clearly and politely with clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Exhibits initiative, proactive problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Willing to dedicate extra hours when needed to meet deadlines.
