Platform Engineer

About the position

Our client is looking for platform engineers with proven experience in Kubernetes and containerised workloads, CI/CD tools and in building and supporting apps running on AWS.

Key Requirements

• AWS Associate level certification or equivalent years of experience
• Preferred Kubernetes Application Developer certification or equivalent years of experience
• Familiarity with Kubernetes specifically EKS
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools, including AWS DevOps Tools and Jenkins
• Proficiency in team-based software development methodologies, particularly Agile
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDKS
• Experience with Kubernetes GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, Helm, or Kustomize
• Proficiency in monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
• Proficiency in AWS services including EKS, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront, and Well Architected Frameworks
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Xray, CloudWatch, Open Tracing, and Grafana
