About the position
Job Title: Plant Engineer - Mining Industry - Limpopo
Location: Limpopo, South Africa
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Engineer to join their mining operations in Limpopo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, specifically within the mining industry, and possess the skills necessary to oversee the maintenance and operation of our plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of plant equipment to identify and address any issues or maintenance requirements.
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Implement best practices for equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and effective operation of the plant.
- Monitor and report on the performance of plant equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure SHEQ compliance throughout the area of responsibility
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- GCC Mines and Works
- MDP or equivalent will be advantageous
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant engineering, preferably within the mining industry.
- Proven experience in managing maintenance programs for plant equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the mining industry.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
