Plant Controller / Financial Manager

About the position

Overall financial and operational control management of Plant to ensure compliance as well
as profitability and ongoing performance as set out by the business budget and targets

• Analyse and forecast the manufacturing Plant performance based on actual data outcomes and identify risks and opportunities
• Drive forecasting process and identify risks and opportunities; proactively partner with plant leadership to develop strategies to deliver on business objectives
• Review actuals against budget on a monthly basis
• Prepare, Collate and present Plant forecasts: Income statements, Capital Budget
• Prepare, Consolidate and Distribute monthly management report to the FM: Flash and Management
• Accounts
• Review General Ledger Reconciliations and consolidate
• Complete quarterly statutory packs in consolidated format
• Complete quarterly TAX Compilations in consolidated format
• Compile bi-annual and annual financial statements in consolidated format
• Liaise with CFO in relation to report requirements
• Facilitate the internal process for all capital expenditure for all plants
• Review the internal audit status update
• Assist with the compilation of the quarterly board packs
• Assist with the submissions of info pieces in the packs
• Spearhead cost savings initiatives e.g. scrap reduction
• Staff Management motivation and performance management

Qualification / Skills / Knowledge Required

• Degree in Management Accounting / Finance or equivalent CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous
• Min 3- 5 years management experience within a Manufacturing or similar industry
• Strong costing experience
• Good commercial sense and strategic thinking
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite
