Plant Accountant

About the position

Our Client requires a Plant Accountant.
The role will be reporting to the Plant Services Manager and based in Durban South.

Responsibilities:

• General ledger maintenance
• Monthly reporting in line with strict timetable
• Full monthly accounting function
• Assisting with drawing up annual budget
• Interaction with plants to resolve queries
• Ensuring compliance with Company's internal controls
• Assist with Plant Finance activities as they arise
• Payroll checking to ensure accuracy of weekly payrolls

Requirements:

• B Com degree or equivalent diploma; and/or
• 3-5 years' experience in a production accounting environment, specifically with the above-mentioned responsibilities
• Good Computer skills, especially with MS Office (Excel) and Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Good inter-personal skills and experience in dealing with people
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
