About the position

JOB TITLE: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Services.

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract.

Contract period: 3 years contract.

Annual basic salary: R236 164.00 per annum.

Location: Western Cape, Zonnebloem.

Closing date: Monday, 10 June 2024 at 5PM.

MAIN PURPOSE:
To assist in coordinating SAHRA's strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation activities and to provide administrative support in terms of these activities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
KPA 1: Planning.
KPA 2: Monitoring and Evaluation.
KPA 3: General Administration.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Planning:

  • Assist in organising planning sessions.
  • Collect and collate planning information by engaging with stakeholders.
  • Assist line manager in developing strategic planning reports.
  • Distribute information related to planning.
  • Assist MPE Manager in compiling the performance plan.
  • Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Collect and collate performance information.
  • Compile KPI POE file and report.
  • Assist in developing monitoring and evaluation reports.
  • Distribute of quarterly performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Distribute annual performance report and annual report to all relevant stakeholders.

General Administration:

  • Provide planning, monitoring and evaluation assistance to line manager and other Unit managers where required.
  • Assist line manager in developing and maintaining budget.
  • Book meetings and arrange venue and refreshments.
  • Compile meeting agenda and attendance registers and submit for sign off.
  • Compile meeting minutes and circulate.
  • File all reports and other documentation.
  • Maintain and update register of reports.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
At least an Undergraduate degree in Business Management or the Social Sciences.
Minimum of 3 years' work experience in a Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation role.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organisation.

NUMERICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardised situations.

COMPUTER SKILL:
Computer literacy with regard to the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
