About the position

Postion Summary:
The National Office Operations is the largest unit at the National Office in terms of numbers of portfolios and personnel. Its essence is the ‘Shared Services Model’: the concentration of company resources performing like activities that are typically spread across the organisation, in order to service multiple internal partners at lower cost and with higher service levels, with the common goal of meeting the expectations of customers and enhancing corporate value. From this concentration of resources comes a concentration in focus and an ability to keep all of the organisation’s goals in management’s line of sight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
  • Expedite the coordination of employee queries and concerns, providing guidance on relevant P&C policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate People records and documentationSupport divisional projects and initiatives as assigned by the Business Partner and Manager: People & CultureMaintain an accurate and up-to date payroll system for SAEONFacilitate engagement with key stakeholders, including, SAEON employees, Labour, EESD, training providers etc
  • on related People matters
  • Contribute to the Annual Training Report (ATR) and Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) Coordinate and support implementation of Learning and Development initiatives
  • Effective and accurate People data management and reporting activities as neededSupport stakeholders with reliable information to enhance the quality of their delivery, performance, and decision-making processes
  • Maintain and submit accurate monthly records related to appointments, acting roles, secondments, terminations, settlements, allowances, etc
  • Monitor effective planning, recruitment, appointments, and succession administration processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Ensure awareness, compliance and implementation of all legislative and compliance issues

Minimum Qualification:
  • Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:
  • 2-3 years
  • Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree will be advantageous

Experience:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in HR Administration and operations
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in Human Resources as a Generalist, including demonstrable experience with HR metrics and understanding of HR functions and best practices will be an added advantage

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of HRIS SystemsMust be familiar with the latest HR legislationSound knowledge of human resources best practice and related legislative requirementsUnderstanding of HR processes and procedures
