About the position

Postion Summary:
The HR Consultant will be responsible for providing end-to-end and value-adding HR consulting to line management and staff in areas such as Recruitment & Selection; Industrial Relations & Wellness; Performance Management; Training & Development; as well as general Policy advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the BU strategy aligned with the People and Culture strategy to meet the needs of the business unit and drive the business unit’s components of the overall NRF’s HR KPIs; Implement and track transformation programmes to support the implementation of the transformation goals; Work with the departmental heads to review fit for purpose org structures
  • Accurate monthly and quarterly reporting on deliverables, non-conformance and flagging of potential risks to the People and Culture Manager
  • Contribute meaningfully to drive the people agenda for the overall business success and drive optimum cost efficiencies
  • Support line management with job profiles and arrange job evaluations as and when necessarySupport line managers to drive Performance management culture within the Business UnitCompile and complete workforce plan as per required format and guidelines for approvalMonitor the business unit’s EE plan to ensure alignment with the central employment equity guidelinesCompile/review the human capital development plan annually as per set deadline and format aligned to NRF HCD strategyComply with Talent Management strategies to drive the business unit strategyDrive change management within the business unit and I implementation of projects and processAssist departmental heads to interpret climate survey results, develop and monitor action plansEnsure compliance with relevant NRF reward, recognition and remuneration policies/procedures Implement HR business process and report on levels of risk and complianceCompile and present meaningful, accurate and timeous HR reports incorporating interpretation, comparisons and trend analysis

Minimum Qualification:
  • Diploma / Advanced Certificate / NQF 6

Minimum Experience:
  • 5-5 years
  • NQF 6 or 7: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent

Experience:
  • 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist/ business partner role

Knowledge:
  • HR Legislation eg LRA, BCEA, SDA, EEA, BBBEERecruitment methodologiesHR Information SystemsAbility to manage projects
