About the position
Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with exceptional attention to detail, strong technical payroll expertise, and proven experience managing a complex payroll environment?
Our client, a highly respected and established organisation, is seeking to appoint a top-tier payroll professional to take ownership of a busy and detail-driven payroll function for a maternity contract of 6 months. Essential: Strong VIP Payroll experience (Business Cloud)
This role requires an individual who thrives on accuracy, understands the importance of confidentiality, and can confidently manage a payroll environment involving permanent staff, pensioners, benefits administration, and complex payroll calculations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the payroll function for approximately 240 permanent staff members and pensioners
- Processing payroll accurately and timeously
- Managing payroll calculations relating to:
- Pension funds
- Medical assistance (medical aid)
- Housing allowances
- Staff loans
- Bonuses
- Salary adjustments and related payroll items
- Ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy
- Managing payroll reconciliations and payroll-related reporting
- Maintaining employee payroll records and system integrity
- Handling payroll queries professionally and confidentially
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you will require:
- Essential: Strong VIP Payroll experience
- Proven payroll experience within a complex payroll environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory deductions
- Experience handling benefits, pension-related calculations, and payroll reconciliations
- Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail
- Advanced accuracy and a highly structured working style
- Strong Excel skills advantageous
