About the position

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to join our clients team. The successful candidate must be Trade Tested and bring at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a Jobbing Foundry. This role involves the manufacturing of pattern equipment from engineering drawings or physical samples, ensuring accuracy, durability, and adherence to foundry standards.

• Manufacture high-quality pattern equipment using engineering drawings or supplied samples.
  
• Operate and maintain pattern shop equipment.
  
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
  
• Collaborate with moulders, foundry workers, and engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
  
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to patterns and recommend improvements where necessary.
  

Requirements

• Trade Tested in Foundry Moulding or Pattern Making.
  
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a jobbing foundry.
  
• Proven hands-on experience in pattern making.
  
• Strong knowledge of foundry processes and pattern shop equipment operation.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.
  
• Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the role.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and strong quality control skills.
  
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
