About the position

Duties & Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for set up and full time hands on operation and management of Pasta Line equipment for each shift to ensure proper working order.
• Autonomous operator is largely the basic maintenance tasks that are performed to ensure the maintenance improvement process on the pasta area such as process of restoring, improving, and maintaining equipment are always maintained and in place
• Autonomous maintenance mostly including the equipment monitoring, in a comprehensive \"deep clean,\" inspection, and restoration of a piece of equipment. The key to this activity is the recording and correction of every single abnormality with the equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring all above requirements are met during operation/pasta manufacturing and reported accordingly.
• Being first-hand maintenance personnel with support from supervisor/foreman before escalation to engineering on a machine breakdown
• Assisting in covering and stripping of equipment during deep clean and assembling thereafter.
• To ensure throughputs as per product produced are well within the expected volume and quality, if volume is less to investigate, troubleshoot and restore correct settings and involve all operators in the area to indicate where the issues were and how to resolve them going forward.
• To ensure production startup times are streamlined and conducted in a manner that no idle time is accumulated due to poor machine start up.
• Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures.
• Maintain and clean machines before, during production and after each shift
• Monitor machines during every procedure and ensure optimum running.
• Troubleshoot problems during machine operation-basic 5 whys.
• Perform safety check.
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic check on output.
• Ensure stocks of needed material are always ready and available and provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisor.
• Ensure a high standard of house keeping
• Communicate effectively through PMI for traceability purposes.
• Ensure job cards are created for all breakdowns
• Participate and support Company's food safety and quality objectives
• Report all problems with the Food Safety to the QA Manager who will initiate and records actions.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Senior Certificate
• N4 - N6 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum educational requirements to support proven competencies
• Extruder / Pasta Line Machine Operating Skills
• Must have Pasta Production process experience
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000 principles
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays when required
