About the position
Are you an experienced Parts Manager with a proven track record in the Heavy Vehicles or Commercial Industry? Our client is looking for a dynamic professional to join their team and support the Dealer Principal in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the parts department efficiently, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Achieve budgeted turnover, profit margins, and agreed performance targets.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost-effectiveness and availability.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and market share growth.
- Safeguard company assets, including equipment, debtors, and staff management.
- Oversee stock takes, communication, and liaison with national distribution and parts management teams.
- Develop and implement action plans and marketing strategies for parts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Support and mentor colleagues, promoting productivity, wellness, and skills transfer.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational efficiency.
Requirement
- Matric or higher qualification.
- 5–8 years of experience in a similar managerial role.
- Strong background in the Heavy Vehicles or Commercial Industry (essential).
