About the position
Role Overview:
This is a hands-on part-time role ideal for a finance professional who is detail-oriented, dependable, and confident working independently. The successful candidate will oversee financial administration across multiple entities using Xero and will occasionally interface with vTiger CRM as part of their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function for three group companies using Xero
- Preparation and submission of VAT, EMP201, EMP501, and other statutory returns
- Generation of monthly management accounts and cash flow monitoring
- Management of RMA, UIF, COIDA, and ensuring active Letters of Good Standing
- Support for year-end audits including reconciliations and liaison with external auditors
- Assist with payroll processing, supplier payments, and ad-hoc financial admin
- Provide management with regular financial updates and compliance insights
- Collaborate with or adapt to using vTiger CRM for relevant processes
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting, ideally supporting multiple entities
- Proficient in Xero Accounting Software
- Solid understanding of South African tax regulations and SARS eFiling
- Experience producing audit-ready accounts
- High levels of trustworthiness, self-motivation, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with vTiger CRM would be advantageous
- Preference will be given to male candidates who meet the criteria
- Must be proficient on Mac OS
Working Hours:
- Part-Time: ±2-3 days per week or equivalent hours
- Hybrid model permitted, but in-office presence is required when necessary
