About the position
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading company in the wealth management industry, is seeking a highly motivated Para-Planner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist Wealth Planners and Financial Advisors in delivering top-quality financial solutions to clients.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate and summarize all client policies and investments
- Perform financial projections and identify potential tax implications
- Prepare detailed cash flow analyses to ensure income sustainability
- Identify appropriate investment vehicles and structures
- Determine client capital and income needs in scenarios such as death, disability, severe illness, or retirement
- Assess capital/income shortfalls
- Analyze and compare local and offshore unit trust funds (CIS)
- Generate investment performance graphs, asset allocation reports, risk-return scatterplots, and risk correlation tables
People Interaction- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Wealth Planners / Financial Advisors
- External brokers
- Investment consultants from life and asset management companies
Administrative Support- Advise Wealth Planners on investment opportunities and tax considerations
- Draft comprehensive financial reports, including cash flows, asset allocations, and annexures
- Support Wealth Planners post-presentation as needed
- Conduct research on investment portfolios and performance
- Recommend suitable products and investment structures
- Monitor legislative changes and investment trends
- Prepare adhoc risk cover reports if requested
- Analyze investments (e.g., unit trusts, shares)
- Ensure reports and proposals are completed within 3 business days
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Investment Management (essential)
Proficiency in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) (advantageous)
- No prior experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (advanced Excel)
- Financial modeling in Excel
- Familiarity with Morningstar, Moneymate, Spotlight Investor, Futuresight, and portfolio tools from asset managers
- Strong report writing and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of investment products and tax implications
- High computer literacy (Excel and Word)
- Self-driven, proactive, and innovative
- Strong time management, enthusiasm, and results orientation
- Commitment to service delivery and teamwork
