Role Overview
A well-established leader in the automotive refinishing sector is expanding its Technical Support division and is looking to appoint an experienced Paint Technician. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with client-facing support, training, and product demonstrations, ensuring customers consistently achieve high-quality paint finishes using industry-leading systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Deliver professional on-site technical support, diagnostics, and problem resolution
- Facilitate structured training sessions and practical demonstrations covering surface preparation, colour matching, paint application, and finishing techniques
- Actively support new product introductions, customer workshops, and industry events
- Serve as a technical advisor to clients, fostering strong and lasting professional relationships
- Liaise with internal sales and technical teams to align customer solutions and feedback
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Formal technical qualification in Automotive Spray Painting or a related discipline
- Solid, hands-on experience within an automotive refinishing environment
- In-depth understanding of modern paint systems, colour formulation, spray application, and equipment setup
- Strong communication skills with fluency in both English and Afrikaans
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle, with willingness to travel to customer sites
