Desired Experience & Qualification
- Manage Packaging Materials: Oversee the daily supply chain updates for packaging materials and ensure timely and accurate ordering of packaging labels, trays, cartons, and consumables.
- Supplier Coordination: Place orders with suppliers based on the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) and maintain regular follow-ups to ensure timely deliveries.
- Stock Management: Conduct monthly stock takes, monitor variances, and ensure accuracy of all records in Syspro. Supervise the safe handling and storage of goods to minimize damage.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a dedicated team of storemen and clerks to ensure that all activities, from raising purchase orders to handling transfers, are carried out efficiently and on time.
- Safety & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain high-quality standards within the packaging warehouse.
- Manpower Optimization: Lead and manage your team effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining operational excellence.
What We Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Matric or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Skills & Experience:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong experience with ERP systems like Syspro or SAP
- Proven ability to liaise with external suppliers and manage relationships effectively
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail
- Other Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and your own vehicle
- Clear criminal record
