About the position
DUR002081 – OUTBOUND CUSTOMER SERVICES AGENT (6 Month Contract) –PROSPECTON
Please note this is not a call center position- do not apply if you do not have experience in freight forwarding and exports!
Purpose of the Job:
To efficiently control and manage the entire file process for international trades in the logistics industry. This includes overseeing sailing schedules, managing bookings with shipping lines, handling necessary paperwork, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of all trade-related documents.
Required Qualifications
- Matric.
- Tertiary qualifications in logistics, maritime studies, or supply chain.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Maintain and update sailing schedules.
- 1-2 Years experience in the shipping industry.
- Manage and monitor bookings with shipping lines, including daily stack date monitoring.
- Process bookings and send booking confirmations to customers.
- Handle hazardous applications and paperwork.
- Invoice customers and process creditor invoices.
- Submit RCG to SARS.
- Track container movements and cargo release dates.
- Handle AMS filing for the USA and ENS filing for Europe.
- Issue telex releases as per SOP.
