About the position

Introduction

The Outbound Checker is responsible for ensuring proper loading of customer orders to vehicles. The position ensures that the loaded quantity and product items are accurately accounted for at all times and that standard loading procedures are strictly followed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Checks the outbound orders to ensure correct items and quantities have been picked
• Nesting and roll up of customer orders to ensure maximum utilization of vehicles
• Labelling pallets of checked stock and preparing them for loading
• Ensure trucks are loaded correctly and that the labels are easily visible for the Drivers and Van Assistants
• Check stock according to priority
• Keep the staging area clean and tidy at all times
• Check printers before every shift to ensure thy are working and that sufficient labels are available
• Report any issues with the dock levelers and dock doors to the Warehouseman immediately for repairs to be arranged
• Any lawful and reasonable instruction

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of Grade 12 and experience in a similar role

• PPT license required

• Computer literacy must include Basic Cquential knowledge
• Experience with scanners
• Good understanding of Inventory
• Capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
• Self-motivated and disciplined
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure
