About the position
OT PI Historian Application Support Analyst
The OT PI Historian Application Support Analyst is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of off-the-shelf, customized, and in-house developed Operational Technology (OT) systems, with a focus on the PI Historian platform. This role ensures the continuity and performance of OT systems, data integrity, and availability of reports required by business stakeholders. The Analyst provides both 1st and 2nd line technical support in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade vendor-based and custom OT applications
- Provide technical troubleshooting and incident resolution for supported applications
- Act as a liaison between end users, internal IT/OT teams, and external vendors to resolve issues
- Monitor system health and performance of OT PI Historian environments
- Maintain accurate technical and procedural documentation
- Support audit processes and ensure systems comply with relevant standards
- Participate in OT projects, upgrades, and system enhancements as required
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide standby/on-call support, including 24x7 availability during assigned shifts
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in application support or a similar technical role
- Proficiency in MS SQL (essential)
- Practical knowledge of AVEVA PI Systems (highly desirable)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN and general hardware components
- Exposure to programming or system development concepts
- Project management experience is a plus
