OT Engineers Jobs in the Netherlands – R1.1mil – R880k

About the position

Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of South African Operational Technology (OT) Engineers to work in Lochem, Netherlands. Please note that visa and sponsorship assistance provided. The successful candidates will be responsible for the automation within the factory so ensure it operates at maximum capacity.

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring and optimizing automated business processes and contributing to drawing up a long-term vision for this;
• Troubleshooting and analysis in case of complex problems / malfunctions in the hardware and software of the entire automation;
• Continually delving into new technologies and following developments in the field of automation;
• To be the central point of contact for both internal and external matters and to provide advice in the field of process automation;
• Management of the OT asset and lifecycle management system (CMDB);
• Software change management en control (Versiondog/Octoplant);
• You are partly responsible for the implementation of our ITIL procedures;
• Another important part of your role is optimizing our cybersecurity, an increasingly important part of the OT domain.
• Developing software and SCADA standards for the location
• Drawing up documentation (including FDS and SDS)

 

Requirements:

• Matric / NQF 4
• South African Drivers’ License
• Fluent in Afrikaans
• Millwright Trade Test or Instrumentation Technician Trade Test
• Extensive experience (at least 4 years) in a similar position within industrial automation or similar. Preferably gained in the food industry or pharmaceuticals
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal and Step7)
• Knowledge of SCADA and MES systems (Aveva)
• Industrial network systems (Profinet, Profibus, I/O -link, Ethernet)
• Knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Windows Server; SQL databases
• Knowledge of ISA-88 and ISA-95
• Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes
• Strong social and communication skills: able to collaborate well with different disciplines and able to manage external parties.
• Good Dutch and English language skills
