About the position

Introduction

The position of Organisational Change Manager is vacant The Organisational Change Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager HR Strategy, and forms part of the Corporate Serves Division. The position is based at GEMS Head Office, Pretoria.

The Total remuneration package for this position is between R1,165,101 and R1,456,304 per annum, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Overview:

The Organisational Change Manager leads the planning and implementation of people-focused transformation and change initiatives across GEMS. The role ensures alignment between structure, processes and systems to achieve strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include developing change management strategies, assessing readiness and impact, advising leaders on change, and building internal change capability to support sustainable organisational transformation.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Organisational Change Manager will be responsible to lead, plan and deliver people focused transformation and organisational change initiatives across GEMS, ensuring alignment between structure, systems, processes and culture to achieve the Schemes strategic objectives through the following KPA's

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • Develop integrated change management strategies aligned with GEMS strategic and operational plans
  • Translate strategic objectives into actional roadmaps and with measurable outcomes
  • Ensure alignment of all change initiatives with governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Manage change milestones, dependencies and success measures across programmes.
  • Advise leaders on adaptive leadership and human dimness of change
  • Conduct change impact and readiness assessments and design interventions to address resistance
  • Build internal change management capability through training, mentoring and development of toolkits
  • Partner with other division to embed consistent culture and behavioural changes initiatives that reinforce GEMS's values
  • Track adoption metrics and culture indicator to ensure sustainable transformation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification requirements are
  • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma, (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development, Industrial/Organisational Psychology, or a related behavioural science discipline.
  • Diploma or short course in Project Management would be advantageous
  • Change Management Certification (e.g. Prosci, ACMP or equivalent) would be advantageous

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years managerial and 5 years professional experience in organisational, change, culture or business transformation, HR projects roles, including stakeholder engagement and communication planning.
  • Proven experience implementing change frameworks, tools, and communication strategies

Desirable
  • Experience in a healthcare industry
  • Understanding of medical schemes industry
