Oracle Operations Consultant (Expert Level) – Contract Opportunity | Global Motor Industry IT Hub

RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Act as technical liaison for database-related operations and cloud services.
- Develop automation solutions for Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure.
- Provide support for Oracle on-prem and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Code self-service and automation features for infrastructure services.
- Handle incidents (CIM), problem management (PM), and change requests (CM).
- Interface with Oracle support and other third-party providers.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous improvement efforts.
Must-Have Skills
- Deep expertise in Oracle database architecture, PL/SQL, performance tuning, backup/recovery, scripting.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Proven experience in Oracle database administration and operations.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT support environments.
Nice-to-Have / Advantageous
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and autonomous databases.
- Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) tool experience.
- RESTful services, AWS, Azure, clustered infrastructure (e.g., Veritas).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, RunDeck, Nagios, Grafana.
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams.
- Shell scripting proficiency.
- German language skills (beneficial but not required).
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle database and cloud-related roles.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure operations, automation, and enterprise-level support.
