About the position
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an Ophthalmic/Medical Assistant join their dynamic team specializing in delivering exceptional ophthalmic care in Somerset West, WC. They are looking for a skilled and compassionate candidate to support their practice by providing excellent patient care and assisting in various clinical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Performing eye exams.
- Assisting with in-room procedures.
- Arranging operating lists.
- Ensuring equipment is sterile.
- Educating patients on treatments, procedures, and post-operative care.
- Supporting diagnostic testing such as visual field assessments and OCT imaging.
- Managing medical inventory and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
Requirements:
- Previous patient education
- Previous medical work experience
- Nursing Skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care.
- Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures and diagnostic equipment
